2017 Highlights

2017 Highlights
You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.
— Maya Angelou

2017 for me it is best represented by the word "persistence" or "pain in the butt". A quality that can be both negative or/and positive, that can fuel selfishness or altruism. I have embraced persistence through out challenges faced in 2017 and has allowed me to keep it cool and not be consumed by stress.

- work. I am a workaholic. Some people might find it pathetic that I focus on my job as my primary hobby and passion. I can't help it. If I was a stay-home mom I would probably nail down cupcakes and craft books the same way I analyze business and implement strategy. I just choose business over mastering the art of baking cup cakes. At least for now.

- Stability. 2017 has been a year to establish financial stability and a long term plan for a future stability for my family and my daughter.

- Fitness. Pushing my body to feel and do things I never imagined I could. This resulted in a 12 weeks intense bootcamp with LB Smith, a former FSU football player. This is something I like to push even further in 2018, if I can figure out time and prioritize.

I don't have many highlights as you can see, I tend to focus on few that I truly remember. Family and friends are of course an element that allow for work, stability and fitness to be achievable.

I am not someone who has a precise plan for 2018. I have a bigger vision and I know how I want to feel and what I want to experience but I don't have a "to do list" .

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and let's hope for a more peaceful year for those who suffer and those countries afflicted by poverty, violence and political turbulence. We have become such bitter humans and there is so much hatred toward each other that we need to push even harder to be cordial and be there for others.
